In the economic crisis condition, agriculture sector is still have a good prospect. One of the methods for empowering this sector is using modern technique to increase production, i.e.: using greenhouse. Greenhouse has advantage such as: controlling disease, increasing production, and increasing quality of product. But, it is also need more energy then increasing the production cost. Energy used in greenhouse will be efficient if the system is controlled by controller such as PLC. This paper will be discuss about design of PLC to control energy system with considering parameter and characteristic of greenhouse. PLC has advantage in term of easy to modified the program, and the hardware has been available in the market with relatively cheap.
